Buta matanya, besar bakatnya!

  "Wrecking Ball"

We clawed, we chained our hearts in vain
We jumped never asking why
We kissed, I fell under your spell.
A love no one could deny

Don't you ever say I just walked away
I will always want you
I can't live a lie, running for my life
I will always want you

I came in like a wrecking ball
I never hit so hard in love
All I wanted was to break your walls
All you ever did was wreck....... me
Yeah, you, you wreck....... me

I put you high up in the sky
And now, you're not coming down
It slowly turned, you let me burn
And now, we're ashes on the ground

Don't you ever say I just walked away
I will always want you
I can't live a lie, running for my life
I will always want you

I came in like a wrecking ball
I never hit so hard in love
All I wanted was to break your walls
All you ever did was wreck....... me

I came in like a wrecking ball
Yeah, I just closed my eyes and swung
Left me crashing in a blazing fall
All you ever did was wreck......... me
Yeah, you, you wreck......... me

I never meant to start a war
I just wanted you to let me in
And instead of using force
I guess I should've let you win
I never meant to start a war
I just wanted you to let me in
I guess I should've let you win

Don't you ever say I just walked away
I will always want you

I came in like a wrecking ball
I never hit so hard in love
All I wanted was to break your walls
All you ever did was wreck...... me

I came in like a wrecking ball
Yeah, I just closed my eyes and swung
Left me crashing in a blazing fall
All you ever did was wreck...... me
Yeah, you, you wreck...... me
Yeah, you, you wreck...... me

Seorang kanak-kanak perempuan buta dari Filipina mendendangkan sebuah lagu Inggeris dengan membaca lirik menggunakan tulisan Braille. Tersentuh hati melihatnya. Sungguh berbakat anak ini. Saya tak sanggup nak masukkan video clip penyanyi asal kerana tidak sesuai untuk tontonan kita. KAlau nak carilah sendiri di youtube. Penyanyinya Mylie Cyrus.....

Phuket 2nd day

Our second day in Phuket started with a short walk to a Thailand Open  Women  Beach Volleyball .  From the break of the dawn, many people especially the players marched to the venue. Very international!  Players from all over the world came to compete.  We were lucky to experienced this moment.  The weather was good although it was cloudy but it did not rain.   We did not stay long because I was not prepared for the hot sun!  Hahahahhahha......  Takut ireng!

The wash room....movable!
The Mobile ICU
We noticed that they were all well prepared for the tournament. A big pink bus parked near the venue and I can assure you that everybody will notice it's presence.... it is a movable public toilet and right behind it was an ambulance in yellow and on it  written as  Mobile ICU!  This is good and we should do the same should we have something on which involve big crowd. Nature's call could be anytime and people can get sick anywhere so this is something that we can learn from.

Encik Ali and his son Bashir.
In the afternoon, we decided to see places. We called Encik Ali, a Muslim Tour Agent which I found when browsing the net.  Such very nice and friendly voice. Unfortunately, in Phuket, the people from the Patong  cannot fetch passengers in Karon. It applies to the other towns too... vise-versa.  So I had to take a Tuk-Tuk to Patong which cost us THB400 and meet him there.  He owned a hotel and few restaurants..... and the beauty of it is he speaks Bahasa Melayu! Hahahhahahha.

Tuk-Tuk experience.

Encik Ali drove us around.  First to his restaurant for lunch . The food is marvelous.  The name of the restaurant is Ban Sang Duan.  I remembered having a meal here in one of my previous visits.  Then we stopped by at the Premium Outlet. The building, the color of the paint and the lay out are the same like ours in Johor but the brands are slightly different. They have more of the local brands.  Encik Ali told us that most who visited and shopped are foreigners!  It is on the way to the airport.

Missing Johor !
We stopped at Jim Thompson Factory outlet next and to my surprise, all products are so cheap. I love JT products alot.... very unique in it's own way and very stylish.  Then we had to rush back to our hotel so we will not miss our Zohor and Asar Jamak Takhir Qasar. Alhamdulillah we made it. We paid THB1000 for his service. On top of that, deep inside me, I still want to purchase some more items from JT outlet. Hope to revisit tomorrow.

Do not miss when you are in Phuket.
My wish came through when my husband offered me for another round to JT Outlet. Pucuk dicita ulam mendatang! hahahhaha. we chartered a taxi for THB800.  The driver Mr Sutat drove us to the destination, waited and then sent us to a Halal Restaurant in Kata. We had Nasi Daging Merah, Nasi Goreng Pataya, Ikan Siakap 3 Rasa, Seafood Tom Yum, Air Limau Ais and Fresh Orange.  The price is THB710.   Finally after burping many time, the driver sent us back to the hotel.  Hope to get some rest and maybe a dip in the pool much later!

Karon-Kata Muslim Food.
Sa-wa-dee-kap....... is a 'hello' in Thai language. It is usually used for greeting customers, the elders and tourists but to friends they only say 'Wad-dee' and to be more specific,  Wa-dee-ka by  ladies and Wa-dee-kap by  men. The meanings stays the same but the impact is different.

I have been here in Phuket for quite a number of times. Yes, there are lots of places to visit and lots of activities can be done here. Phuket has everything from animal shows to  sports, entertainment and many choices of food which are very familiar to us especially the Tom Yum Goong! Halal food is easy to find here especially in Patong because of the big Muslim community here.

The famous, tasteful and spicy Tom Yum Goong!

Phuket brought back memories.  Two things happened in the same year! It was 2004.... When I visited Phuket in that year,  upon arrival at the the hotel, in the middle of the night, my mother passed away!  Losing your mum is like losing a part of you..... mother is supreme! Till todate,  I still miss my Mak.  My husband had to wait until Subuh prayer just to informed me of the sad news for he had to call our guide and MAS office to get the earliest flight home.... and it can only be done the next morning.

A photo from the net . Phuket hit badly by
2004 Tsunami when the earth shook in the Indian Ocean.

Towards the end of 2004, I  revisited Phuket and his time my children and my nephews tagged along. It was fun because the teenagers love adventures. I remembered we went for the white water rafting. It was funny when the boys reacted during the Simon Cabaret show.... first they thought that they were all good looking females but once they knew about it, you should see their reactions! hahahhhahhahhahahha. A week after we went back home, Phuket was hit badly by the Tsunami. The hotel where we stayed was swept away completely! I called, Faridah, our guide to know of her situation. Alhamdulillah, Faridah answered . Wonder where she is now???

Since Tsunami, lots of changes took place. With the new extended wing of the airport, shows that Phuket has more visitors. When I was at the airport I saw many  cocasions most probably Russian because of the language  they used. they recieved 7 millions tourists yearly and this year they targeted 12 millions  and 14 millions the year next!  That puts tourism as  Phuket source of economy..... no doubt!  Along the way to our hotel, we saw what was before rubber tree plantations are now developements.  Many  new buildings like shopping malls, hotels and high rises apartments came up like mushrooms!

Premier Outlet in Phuket.... very tempting!

Now, after so many years, I revisit again. I used to stay in Patong Beach in my last visits but not this time. I chose Karon Beach which further down south from Patong. My husband puzzled and asked in why I chose this place? I chose this place because it is not as busy as Patong. I just want to get away from everything..... just to be alone with him.  I want to do some readings and maybe sketching and painting ...... see how my mood is! hahahhahahha

Destination.... Phuket , Thailand

We took MAS flight into Phuket. Being with familiar faces and food makes your day. The flight attendants will greet Selamat Datang and asking simple friendly questions about us which made us feel nice. It took only an hour or less from KLIA to this destinations. Upon reaching Phuket, we were hit by a very heavy rain and the pilot was unable to land the craft. So we had to fly around and around for almost 30 minutes and at last we landed safely in the second attempt! . Syukur ALhamdulillah. The passengers ,(all seats taken) who were very quiet earlier, clapped their hands when the plane landed safely at Phuket International Airport and suddenly, everybody started talking! Phew..... what a relief!  As for me, I recite all the Surah that I know and never stopped making dua to Allah SWT for our safety.  In time of distressed and panic, Allah is the BEST place to talk to because He listens and He knows what is BEST for you. Alhamdulillah.

I pre-booked a private car to take us to Karon. It took 30 minutes for the car to come and worst of all, the driver speaks only a few words of English and he did not know the way to Karon because he is from Bangkok!  I almost lost my head but still able to composed because I did not want to spoil  my vacation.  After speaking to his boss through a telephone conversation, at last he managed to drop us at our hotel... Ramada Phuket Southsea in Karon Beach.  The lay out is something like the Holiday Inn Busakom  Wing in Patong but I prefer the later. No doubt, the room is comfortable with pool excess! Nice!! Most of all, the wi-fi is free! I am beginning to enjoy my holiday!

Aidiladha 1434H di Lembah Temir

My garden
Sitting in my garden, painting......  with the sounds of the birds chirping and the sounds of the water flowing from my fish pond, reminds me of my childhood. Oh yes.... that life that I missed so much.  That was 40 years ago.

Last two weeks, a day after Aidiladha on the 10th of Zulhijjah 1434H,  for the third time my husband and I visited Lembah Temir Eco Resort by invitation. This time we spent a night there. This place brings back memories. The jungle, the trees, the creapers and the magnificient water fall and most of all the hospitality...... SUPERB!!

The owner, CDS went to the same school as my husband....Sekolah Alam Shah. For the second time, Lembah Temir conducted the Qurban for the oldboys starting 2012.  This year they slaughtered 3 cows. Such a very nice man he is, CDS invited his ex-classmates for this purpose.  Many turned up. It is nice to see all of them working together as a team in managing the Qurban. Dr MIM and Dr Mokhtar slaughtered the cows and the others did what they are best at. Some cut and divided the beef, some cut the bones while some are good at taking photographs but not to forget some just need to be there to enlightened the moment with good funny or naughty jokes. everyone of them played their part well. Alhamdulillah.

The get together with the magnificient environment of the jungle, a water fall and a pond full of Ikan Kelah, brought back the yesterday into their minds. After completing the Qurban, they jumped into the water and forgot completely about their 6th series age! They behaved like young boys, laughing and teasing each other. How lucky they all are to have such a very good friend who is willing to share his wealth.

Lembah Temir  Eco Resort stands on a 68 acres piece of land with palm  trees, rubber trees and fruit orchards solely own by CDS and family.  We were told that they have 1,500 durian trees and is expected to bear fruits in December!  Yaba dabadoooooo.....

Lembah Temir Eco Resort.
As promised, on the morning of 16th October 2013,  we departed from our kampung in Ulu Bernam to Lembah Temir. My sister-in-law came along with us. The last time we visted LTER was on the 11th May 2010.  But after 3 years, so many progress have taken place. More chalets were built and this time, my family and I were given chalet No. 9,  the nearest to the water fall!  Thank you very much!

The last visit in 2010.

Renovation of the main house is still in progress.

Kami mengambil peluang menjalankan ibadah solat Maghrib dan Isyak secara berjemaah. Imam solat Maghrib ialah Tuan Haji Ahmad  Maher dan solat Isyak diimamkan oleh Dr MIM.

The slaughterers!

Hari penyembelihan 17hb Oktober 2013 bersamaan 11 Zulhijjah 1434H.. Segalanya berjalan dengan baik dan teratur. Alhamdulillah.  Tiga ekor lembu dikurbankan. Dr MIM dan Dr Mokhtar yang menyembelih dan yang lain melapah dan memotong . So everybody, please meet the butchers!

Mission accomplished!

Lembah Temir Eco Resort comes in a full package..... beautiful environment, warm hospitality and most of all tasteful food! Yummeyh! We all should give a bow to the Chef, no other than CDS's wife herself...Kak Wan. Everybody enjoyed the food alot with the taste and flavour from Kelate! The best cook ever!

Meet the Chef.... Kak Wan.

Nasi Kerabu Kelate.....

Nasi Berlauk
Kuah Durian dan Pulut

Everybody enjoying their food.
They built different types of chalets but they are the most comfortable chalets with a high class taste. Trust me when I said high class. The tiles, the bed n linens and even the bathrooms and toilets bowls are of the best quality! I give them full marks for that!

Wild Kelah swims freely in the pond at the main building.

When old boys get together, the next best thing for them is to bring along their spouses. And the ultimate is when the ladies can click together as one. Alhamdulillah, all of the spouses and children  got along very well.  Those who came were Puan Radziyah aka Yah, Hajah Kamariah aka Kay, Hajah Hanimah, Hajjah Wan (taukey maaaa), Dr Noraini, Datin Fatimah and Lailee. Belum ramai tapi cukup gamat. Some even came with their children and grandchildren. Semoga ramai lagi yang dapat datang bagi memeriahkan lagi keadaan.

 men were busy butchering!

The best hospitality indeed.

Look at them enjoying themselves.

Bayangkanlah 6th series yang berkawan sejak berumur remaja. Jelas keakraban mereka, terpancar keikhlasan dan terserlah kebahagiaan diwajah mereka. Alhamdulillah.

Masa untuk pulang. Segala yang bermula pasti ada penghujungnya. Kenangan bersama teman persekolahan selama semalam di Lembah Temir Eco Resort akan sentiasa membuat kami tersenyum sendirian....... Once more, we thanked the host for the warm hospitality and for the best food served. Finger licking good!

Psssst..... if you ever get lost to go to Lembah Temir Eco Resort, just follow this map. InsyaAllah you will not get lost. All you need to remember is to take right after Bentong towards Mempaga. From there onwards, you will see many small sign boards of Lembah Temir.  From highways, to small kampung road and to off road. You will be OK!  No worries....... but my advise is please do not drive a small car  because of the terrains with unexpected big holes and puddles!  4WD is the best should you own one. Good luck.
