Apa yang tinggal kini........ hanyalah sisa kesal kelmarin

Gurindam dan irama tidak lagi kuhiraukan
Sete;ah api cinta terpadam
Apa yang tinggal kini hanya sisa kesal kelmarin
Menjadi simfoni mendayu pada setiap malam minggu

Setahun sudah berlalu Februari muncul kembali
Dengan kehangatan semalam
Tanpaku sedari, kupetik mawar merah
Kutulis sekuntum puisi
Tapi sayang pada siapa kan kuberi

Kesepian memaksa, ku lihat wajah dicermin
Terpandang parut dimukaku
Bekas cinta yang lama, apakah tidakkan hilang
Kesan cinta yang terus mendatang
Bermain dijiwa ini

Setahun sudah berlalu, Februari muncul kembali
Dengan kehangatan semalam
Tanpa kusedari, kupetik mawar merah
Kutulis sekuntum puisi

I wish......

"Mak, I am collecting food and all kinds of neccessities for the flood victims in Pahang.  I  am looking for people who wants to help by sponsoring.  Do you think people will respond?"

That was the question she asked me before she and her friends  started to blast the news in their Facebook, Watsapp and other media.

Alhamdulillah,  as expected, aids came from all over. Loads of food, cleaning detergents, diapers for babies, cloathing for all ages, blankets, pillows, mattresses for babies and adults..... just name it!  One came up with sponsoring the transportations for carrying the goods to destination. Amazing!

After two weeks of collecting, on the 18th of December 2013, my daughter Hana, her husband Muhammad A'sim with a group of 16 , drove in four 4WD followed by 2 lorries towards Pekan, Pahang.

Upon reaching, they unloaded everything from the lorries and started to divide as much as they can equally to be given to the victims. They got help from the locals but most of the jobs were done by themselves.... the 16 of them. It must have been very tiring for them but those victims comes in the picture first..... everything else were pushed aside!
On second day, after the first distribution, my daughter called me. I knew that she was in tears when she explained how bad things were out there. How much the victims lost their belongings, the state of their homes with no food .....  she said, she felt so greatful to Allah for giving her all the goodness and rezeki in life.  Masyallah....... I felt good when my daughter said that. She had to see it to feel it !  Where else, I had to face it to feel it! hahahhahhha.

When I was young, most of my life were in  Padang Kubu, Kemaman, Terengganu. It was 1971 and that was the worst ever flood in history. The water level was as high as the tip of the lamp post! Many lost their lives. I remembered two of my neighbours got swept away.  Food were flown in by the TUDM helicopter. To me as a child at that time, fear was number 100. Joy comes first!  Monsoon season means, no schools, running in the rain, eating Ubi Rebus with Sambal Tumis and doing all the things that we like, as we like! hahahhaha. My arwah Mak and arwah Abah must have had a hell of a time during raining season with all their children at home!  We never knew that we were short of food because porridge served with ikan kering or telur asin is served everyday. To us that is delicacy but just imagine the feelings of my late parents. We never complained because to us that was life. We took it as it was. How I missed those days. Al Fatehah to both my parents who had to sacrificed everything to keep the family together.

I wish I am as strong as I used to be so I can lend my hands to help the needys like my daughter did. But it is impossible because is she is there, I have to be here  I have to take care of her children..... my two little dinosaurs, A'mmar and Aa'fi! I considered it as a lending of hand too... hahahhha. I hope and pray to Allah that the raining season will stop soon so the people can move on with their life.

As for my daughter and my son-in-law, I am so very proud of  both of them and I hope that many more young men and women take the opportunity to do the same.  I knew that many already did. Keep up the good job and  with the right intention!  A very big thank you to all who sponsored.  May Allah bless you all with more rezeki and good health. For the victims, stop feeling sorry and angry. This is not caused by humans but a little reminder from Allah Subhanahu Wataala.  He knows what is BEST for all of us. Be greatful that aids comes from throughout the country. You are not alone..... you are never left alone.  The goverment is doing the best to help. So be patient!  If you think you have lost everything, think of others who lost their family members! Remember that there are always people who faced  worst scenario than yours. Help is on the way. Good luck!

Kau dan aku......

Masa muda
begitu bertenaga dan bergaya
Namun
kaku pertama kali bertemu
kekok pergerakanku
Ketika kau melamarku
menjadi permaisurimu
aku hampir tidak percaya
Manakan tidak
umurku awal dua puluhan
 kau pula akhir dua puluhan
jauh bezanya
Tapi janjimu unuk terbang bersama
kita terbang setara
Alhamdulillah kita sekata
Kini kita sama-sama sudah berusia
Kita tetap serupa
gembira dan bahagia
keluarga kita sudah mengembang
Dari dua... menjadi empat
kurniaan seorang menantu dan dua cucu
melengkapkan hidup kita
30 tahun kita bersama
 kita harungi segala
susah dan senang kita hadapi jua
kita ketawakan diri kita
 kita menangis kesilapan kita
dan kita berjaya
sekian lama kita bersama
kita bisa membaca gerak hati
kita bisa mengenal hati budi
kita faham masa suka, duka dan murka
dari gerak jari kekerlingan mata
kita bersama boleh membaca
kita serasa dan sekata
bertingkah kelebihan kita
bersyukur kita kepada Illahi
akan anugerah ini
10 Disember 1983
kita diijabkabulkan
Selamat menyambut
Hari Ulangtahun Perkahwinan yang ke30
buat kita sayangku
semoga kebahagiaan ini selamanya
semoga kita diberi kesihatan yang baik
semoga kita diberi yang terbaik dunia dan akhirat
Insyaallah.....

A tragic love song,,,,,,

While listening to this magnificient singer, Mayumi Itsuwa singing her hit song Koibito Yo (My dear love), please read the following story which I translated from the song lyrics.  The feelings and emotions expressed in the song made this song a number one hit  in Japan, Taiwan, Singapore and Hong Kong in the 80's.

In early 80's, my husband visited Japan on business. He had lots of trouble memorizing the wordings of this song. In a gathering , some representatives from Malaysia  were asked to perform some songs.  So, my husband took the challenged and sang with full confidence.  Unfortunately, the Japanese did not understand a word! Hahahahahhaha...... but the melody was there!

Once upon a time, somewhere in Japan, a young girl awaits. Under the drizzling rain, and seated on a broken chair in a park waiting.  The pebbles jogging path were glittering under the rain.....This was the place where a love began.

The autumn leaves were falling. It was on the branches in Spring and Summer. But now , the trunks and branches are almost visible. Gone were the leaves....... all gone. It shows that winter is coming soon.

With eyes closed, tears flowing down her cheeks, Mitsu was hoping that that the weather will stay sunny and bright... as bright and as light as her heart so in love. But as she opened her eyes, Mitsu realized that it was not a dream at all. This was reality!

Gone were the love songs... all what was left was only memories which hurt  her so much. Mitsu was hoping that he will come back to her in open arms. With laughter and twinkling eyes and telling her that it was only a joke....... but it was not. It was a tragic! She cried again but was lucky that nobody realised  it because it was raining.

Then suddenly, a male jogger passed by and saw Mitsu sitting on the broken bench in the rain looking blankly at the pebbles where he was standing.  He remembered she was with someone before, the same seat, the same time..... But now she was all alone.  She was in distressed. It showed! As if he knew of the caused, the man talked to her and encouraged her to move forward and never to look back. The past is over... let bygone be bygone. It hit Mitsu. She awoke from her bad dream. She stood and walked away without looking back anymore at the bench where her love ended.

Buta matanya, besar bakatnya!

  "Wrecking Ball"

We clawed, we chained our hearts in vain
We jumped never asking why
We kissed, I fell under your spell.
A love no one could deny

Don't you ever say I just walked away
I will always want you
I can't live a lie, running for my life
I will always want you

I came in like a wrecking ball
I never hit so hard in love
All I wanted was to break your walls
All you ever did was wreck....... me
Yeah, you, you wreck....... me

I put you high up in the sky
And now, you're not coming down
It slowly turned, you let me burn
And now, we're ashes on the ground

Don't you ever say I just walked away
I will always want you
I can't live a lie, running for my life
I will always want you

I came in like a wrecking ball
I never hit so hard in love
All I wanted was to break your walls
All you ever did was wreck....... me

I came in like a wrecking ball
Yeah, I just closed my eyes and swung
Left me crashing in a blazing fall
All you ever did was wreck......... me
Yeah, you, you wreck......... me

I never meant to start a war
I just wanted you to let me in
And instead of using force
I guess I should've let you win
I never meant to start a war
I just wanted you to let me in
I guess I should've let you win

Don't you ever say I just walked away
I will always want you

I came in like a wrecking ball
I never hit so hard in love
All I wanted was to break your walls
All you ever did was wreck...... me

I came in like a wrecking ball
Yeah, I just closed my eyes and swung
Left me crashing in a blazing fall
All you ever did was wreck...... me
Yeah, you, you wreck...... me
Yeah, you, you wreck...... me

Seorang kanak-kanak perempuan buta dari Filipina mendendangkan sebuah lagu Inggeris dengan membaca lirik menggunakan tulisan Braille. Tersentuh hati melihatnya. Sungguh berbakat anak ini. Allah Maha Besar. Silalahh dengar nyanyian ini sambil menghayati senikatanya. Jangan lupa ikut sekali nyanyiannya........ manalah tahu kalau-kalau ada bakat pulak. Saya tak sanggup nak masukkan video clip penyanyi asal kerana tidak sesuai untuk tontonan kita. KAlau nak carilah sendiri di youtube. Penyanyinya Mylie Cyrus.....

Phuket 2nd day

Our second day in Phuket started with a short walk to a Thailand Open  Women  Beach Volleyball .  From the break of the dawn, many people especially the players marched to the venue. Very international!  Players from all over the world came to compete.  We were lucky to experienced this moment.  The weather was good although it was cloudy but it did not rain.   We did not stay long because I was not prepared for the hot sun!  Hahahahhahha......  Takut ireng!

The wash room....movable!
The Mobile ICU
We noticed that they were all well prepared for the tournament. A big pink bus parked near the venue and I can assure you that everybody will notice it's presence.... it is a movable public toilet and right behind it was an ambulance in yellow and on it  written as  Mobile ICU!  This is good and we should do the same should we have something on which involve big crowd. Nature's call could be anytime and people can get sick anywhere so this is something that we can learn from.

Encik Ali and his son Bashir.
In the afternoon, we decided to see places. We called Encik Ali, a Muslim Tour Agent which I found when browsing the net.  Such very nice and friendly voice. Unfortunately, in Phuket, the people from the Patong  cannot fetch passengers in Karon. It applies to the other towns too... vise-versa.  So I had to take a Tuk-Tuk to Patong which cost us THB400 and meet him there.  He owned a hotel and few restaurants..... and the beauty of it is he speaks Bahasa Melayu! Hahahhahahha.

Tuk-Tuk experience.

Encik Ali drove us around.  First to his restaurant for lunch . The food is marvelous.  The name of the restaurant is Ban Sang Duan.  I remembered having a meal here in one of my previous visits.  Then we stopped by at the Premium Outlet. The building, the color of the paint and the lay out are the same like ours in Johor but the brands are slightly different. They have more of the local brands.  Encik Ali told us that most who visited and shopped are foreigners!  It is on the way to the airport.

Missing Johor !
We stopped at Jim Thompson Factory outlet next and to my surprise, all products are so cheap. I love JT products alot.... very unique in it's own way and very stylish.  Then we had to rush back to our hotel so we will not miss our Zohor and Asar Jamak Takhir Qasar. Alhamdulillah we made it. We paid THB1000 for his service. On top of that, deep inside me, I still want to purchase some more items from JT outlet. Hope to revisit tomorrow.

Do not miss when you are in Phuket.
My wish came through when my husband offered me for another round to JT Outlet. Pucuk dicita ulam mendatang! hahahhaha. we chartered a taxi for THB800.  The driver Mr Sutat drove us to the destination, waited and then sent us to a Halal Restaurant in Kata. We had Nasi Daging Merah, Nasi Goreng Pataya, Ikan Siakap 3 Rasa, Seafood Tom Yum, Air Limau Ais and Fresh Orange.  The price is THB710.   Finally after burping many time, the driver sent us back to the hotel.  Hope to get some rest and maybe a dip in the pool much later!

Karon-Kata Muslim Food.
