Assalamualaikum wbt. Salam Aidil Fitri. Greetings to all. Since before MCO, I have always love gardening. But my knowledge is not what you think. I kept on trying. Lucky me because my daily maid is into gardening because she comes from a farming family. Then, I watched the Youtube. I learnt from my friends. The outcome varies...sometimes I did well and sometimes the plants refused to grow. Hahahahhaha. But facts of life is, you need to have the knowledge.....basics will do.
I got into gardening more seriously during MCO. Well, we cannot go out for exercise....not even out of the house...LOCKDOWN! These are some of the plants in my garden. Maybe not as good but I am really proud of my achievements.
Beside little plants planted in different kinds of pots, flowery plants are not forgotten. There are different types of Hibiscus and many kinds of flowers which were given by my lovely neighbours and friends....well, we sort of practising barter trade....hehehhehhee. Some already produced flowers but some still trying their best.... need to learn more about the names and use of the plants.
I planted different kinds of herbs like Basil, Tumeric, Kantan, Dill and vegetables like Kangkong, Pumpkin, Tomatoes, Chillies, Spinach and Ladies Finger. Not to be forgotten, I do have fruit trees like Longan, Lemon, Mulberry, Jambu Bol and Papaya. Others like Lime, Lemon Grass, Pegaga, Kesom and many more.
All these plants may it be herbs, vegetables, flowers and fruits, attracted many uninvited guests. Guess who they are!!
Well, these uninvited guests came in because they were attracted to the nectar. It's what they needed to live. For as long as they do not disturb my family and my plants, they can come and go....but not the snails. They ate my plants right up to the roots...nothing is spared! So I have to put them to sleep.... my slimy guests are gone! hehehhehhe.
It feels so good when you sweat and enjoy the fruit of your hard work. I spent my whole morning from 8am to 11am gardening even during the fasting month of Ramadhan.....maybe you should try too!
