Kepulangan

Berbulan aku menanti
tidak putus aku meminta Allah
Perasaanku menjadi
Cemas...
Bingung
Sedih
dan geram ....

Akhirnya kembali jua
Syukur Alhamdulillah
Entah mengapa....
entah ke mana....
enggan aku bertanya

Pulangnya dia
dalam ceria....
sihat
manja.....
bertenaga
Kini di depan mata
dapat aku menyentuhnya,
memeluk dan menciumnya
Syukran Ya Allah

Apa lagi yang kumahu
Allah memakbulkan doaku
Bulan yang penuh rahmat
Bulan yang penuh barakah
dapat kami beribadah bersama
menghidupkan bulan yang mulia
Ramadhan al Mubarak
Syukran Ya Allah....

Tika bersendirian....
Termangu .....Terpaku
Tiada apa gangguan
Jiwa dan fikiran mula melayang
Terkenang akan kehadiranmu
Terngiang-ngiang di telinga akan suaramu
Masih terasa kehangatan pelukanmu
Masih terasa ciuman kasih di pipiku

Kini kau tiada lagi
Kau meninggalkan kami
Telah bertahun  ketiadaanmu
Janggal ketika mulanya
Masih janggal hingga kini jua
Teringat akan waktu dahulu
Berebut rebut
Hidangan lazat air tanganmu
Bubur Lambuk
Sup tulang dan Rojak Janganan
Masyaallah...nikmatnya!!

Teringatku kepada Abah
Seni jari-jemarinya
Dari buluh dijadikan sebatang pena
Dari buluh juga dibuatkan  rakit
Dari tong minyak dibuatkannya sampan
Layang-layang juga tidak ketinggalan
Mengajar kami bercucuk tanam
Kesabarannya tidak terlawan
Rindunya aku......

Mak Abah
Ramadhan Al Mubarak menyapa lagi
Walaupun kau sudah pergi
Pergi menghadap Illahi
Namun kau sentiasa di dalam jiwa sanubari
Celik saja mataku
Doa pertama adalah buatmu
Ya Allah...
Ampunilah dosa mereka
Kasihanilah mereka
Jauhkanlah mereka dari siksaan kubur
Lapangkanlah kubur mereka
Terangkanlah kubur mereka
Pertemukanlah kami di Syurga nanti
Amin...Amin....Ya Rabbal Alamin.......

Where do I begin.........

I am serious about my subject ....Where do I begin.........

So many things to write about but I can assure you that I really don't know where to begin. Really.....

Lets start from one of the beginnings! When I was young......very much younger!

My late father,  arwah Abah, Mohd Yunos bin Mohd Doyah, comes from a small family. His father passed away when he was seven years old. Life was very cruel then. He had to work at a very young age to help his mother to support the family. He was a very bright young man and a survival too! His mother, Hajjah Maftom raised him and his other two sibblings (girls) with love, full attention and tender care.

Hajjah Maftom  was a well known figure in Muar, Johor for she held  classes at home and  Suraus all over  Muar. I would tag along with her everywhere she went. Sometimes we took the trishaw and if the distance was further, we took the bus. She was an Ustazah!  After class, her pupil would pay her...not much but enough! Some even passed me 20 sen or more and I will  keep the coins in my socks! With the money she earned on that day, we would then stopped at the market to do marketing !  We could not afford alot, but just enough to keep the family going. Sometimes, the people in the market would just gave us for free...may it be fish, vegetable or fruits! Life was full of barakah! Alhamdulillah.

Everyday after Maghrib, all the children from the neighbourhood would come to our house to recite Quran. It was fun. I was one of the slow ones! hahahhahhha. How I envied  some of the children who could read fluently where else I had to start from the small Quran ...the Muqaddam. This is because I only stayed with my late grandmother when I was in Standard 1 and Standard 6. In between I was all over.  Some of the children would laugh at me and made fun of me! And then I realised  because of shame, I pretended to know how to read Quran. That was my biggest mistake! Fortunately, Quran classes will be off on Thursday night but my grandmother and my two aunties Arwah Mak Abang and Arwah Uchu, will sit down together and read Surah Yaasin. And because of this, I was able to memorise the surah. With that one long Surah in my head and in my mind, I held tight and kept me safe.

When we were young, we thought that life would always be the same..full of happiness, no problem, no commitment and we thought that our parents would always be with us! That was why we took things lightly, so playful and thinking that the future is so many years ahead without realizing that the future is NOW!!! When come to thinking about it, I curse myself  for all the mistakes I did! I asked myself many questions over and over again and the answer is always the same.......people make mistakes! How I wish I can turn back the time but that is impossible. Life has to go on. Mistakes done and should not  be repeated but we can be a better person starting now.

Now that I am a grandmother of two. I want them to remember me as the best grandmother anybody could ask for. Unfortunately, I am not an Ustazah but I hold Quran classes at my house every Wednesday morning and Thursday nights. Not only for my family but for my neighbours and families as well. Thank you Ustazah NurulAin and Ustaz Farhan for teaching us. May Allah bless both of you for making my dream come through!

Namun, walau kemana pun kita pergi, sehebat mana pun negara mereka, seronok lagi negara kita. Aku bersyukur diberi Allah rezeki untuk melawat tempat orang namun Malaysia tetap dihati.....

Hujan emas di negeri orang,
Hujan Batu di negeri sendiri.
Ambil emas di negeri orang,
Buat rumah batu di negeri sendiri!

Renung-renungkanlah!

When the time come.....

When the time come....people change! Usually , as you grow older, your age gain, you become wiser in thoughts and in actions. Well, that is the way it should be! But we cannot deny of our slow reflex and forgetfulness....our fast heating temper is another thing! hahahha!

When I was much younger, very much younger, I woredk hard . I  do things as I wished and always make sure of the BEST result!. Satisfied when I succeed and tried again when I failed. No such things as frustrated....nope! Not me! I am blessed with that strong mind. All I wanted to do is to move forward! Well, that was the former me and Still is...only my movements are slower!

I used to joke around with my husband of how we both will be when we grow old. Physically and Mentally! He told me that, if you read , your mind will always do lots of thinking and you will always stay alert and that makes you stay younger! I cannot agree more!

But age will always win. No matter how hard we tried to stay younger, to stay alert and what not, age will take its toll. Both my husband and I starts forgetting simple little things like where we put our glasses eventhough we are putting it on , car keys and so on. Sometimes we forget time or miss some important dates. Oh dear! Twice we left our house keys hanging on the door! My oh my! This is frightening but that is life. Learn to accept. So, we have to keep on reminding one another but even that we sometimes forget! hahahahahha.  But we believe that for as long as we have each other, we will be alright...Insyaallah.

Alhamdulillah both my children are staying nearby and I have a wonderful set of good neighbours who are so concern about each other. My husband and I can really rely on them about anything, anytime of the day twenty four seven! Furthermore , now that we have two grandchildren and with them around , it add colours to our life!  they give us joy and hope. Syukur Alhamdulillah.

With families, friends, health and wealth......, we are not afraid to grow old and we hope to do it gracefully! May we stick by one another and love one another until the end of our life. May Allah grant us with the BEST of health Physically, Mentally and Psychologically!   Insyaallah!

The journey....episode 4...Encounter with the Gauchos...

We started the day at 10 am. Everyone was early. Before that, right after Subuh we were called to room 806 for a homecook breakfast. Amazingly my friends made fried noodle, jemput-jemput pisang, nasi impit and rendang. They compressed their little kitchen into one big luggage!hahhahahha.

Today´s destination was a ranch. Owned by a very rich family and it has been there for hundreds of years. They breed horses and of different kinds. I can tell you that horses are the most handsome looking and beautiful animals. It´s long lean legs and move around with their heads high....just beautiful. Lots of the activities for the tourists at the farm. The one I like most is horse riding! I was scared like hell but as you jump on the back of the horse, your mind becomes more relax and calm: and things got better when the gauchos are all so handsome looking and clean cut! Oh my God! Made me miss my son back home. Wonder what he is up to during my absence!!! Gauchos are the ones who look after the cattles. They are the best horse rider and they love to sing. In those days they were normadic. These nomadic riders lived by hunting wild cattle. Most gauchos were of mixed Spanish, Portuguese and Amerindian (native American) ancestry They do not stay in one place but keep on moving.

Agriculture is one of the bases of Argentina´s economy and provided 7% of all employment. It is the fourth largest country in the world producing soya bean. The versatile pampas (flat land) with 1.5meters deep of top soil says it all. Meaning, whatever is planted will grow well. They have almost everything and all of their products made some percent of the world´s total. Amazing right! This reminds me of my little garden back home, has it been watered and taken care of?Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm........

Beef and other meats are some of the most important agricultural export products of Argentina. Cattle is mainly raised in the provinces of Buenos Aires and this why they are very strict with the food we brought into their country especially meat, chicken, mutton and vegetables!

the journey.....episode 3....eat eat eat

When we booked this trip, we already knew that it is going to be a full board meaning all inclusive. So happy we were that I made up my mind that is time is a real holiday trip for me and I don´t have to worry abbout food ! I was so happy....at last I am a real tourist!

Food is what made a person! You are what you eat! So, since it was promised that food and beverages is inclusive, I deacided to leave all my pots n pans behind. But not all, I managed to grab a few can foods and packets of 3in1 mix drinks and cereals...that´s it!

No doubt the meals served were for vegetarian and some fish and seafood, but my religion taught me that we must always look around if they serve other kinds of food and drink which are HARAM for us. Were the waiters dressed properly? This is what we always overlook. It sounds not very important but it is the most important for what we take goes straight to the blood and it carries to our children and on and on.....we always take things for granted when food is concern and we have to make a change. we have to be strict. Homecook is the best. That is why children those days are very obedient, soft spoken and well mannered.

I hate myself for not bringing my pots and pans which I normally did BUT Allah is great. He knows best! I was lucky that my friend DM and KT brought theirs. So throughtout this journey, I still manage to eat HALAL, tasty, spicy homecook food. Alhamdulillah.

To those of you, especially my family and friends, no matter who you are, what you are or where you are, just remember that Allah is near...always. Do not trust the Halal signs on the walls of a shop. Be very sure about it. Don´t end up eating HARAM food whithout realising. Stop eating out. Think of your littles ones!

Poor DM and KT had hard times with the Customs at the airport. They are very strict about the food we bring into their country. They have reasons for it and we fully understand but what we do not understand is they did ask us to fill in any declare form like most countries do!Most of their dry and wet food were cofiscated. It was so sad seeing our food dump in the rubbish bin. Oh dear....it was a heartache! But some still got thru. That is the rezeki from Allah that the six of us are sharing! Alhamdulillah.

We have to make a change for our future generations.
